Now I'm not a Marshall History Expert but I thought that the 2204 was a 50 Watt version of the JCM800 2203 100 Watt. am I missing something here? The head sounds amazing and is a tone monster! It's all tube distortion versus the clipping diode distortion in some of the later JCM800s. not quite original Marshall JMP 2204.

1981 Marshall JMP 2104 Combo Clean and mean 1981 Marshall JMP 50 watt 2104 2×12 combo. The serial dates this one to 1980. But the speakers, date tag, and transformers all date to 1981 leading us to believe this amp quite possibly could have been one of the last 50 watt JMPs to leave Marshall.

First straight through amp without pedal It is a 1977-78, 2 input JMP 800 Mark 2 Master Volume 50 watt amp, and I have found that it is based on the model 1987 Blues Breaker Combo. It is similar to the 2204 in the wiring diagram but it had 2 inputs instead of 4. I think that these combos are rare, as they were the amp Marshall manufactured before going to the 2203 / 2204's This is my demo of a 1981 Marshall JMP 2204.
